From the Battlefield to Grace: A Journey of Faith and Restoration I am a follower of Jesus Christ—deeply blessed to be a wife, mother, grandmother, and proud 20-year veteran of the Army National Guard. I served during Operation Desert Storm in Iraq with the 730th Medical Company, where I witnessed both the fragility and resilience of life. At 34, I became a widow with five young children. That season of grief was more than I believed I could bear, but the Lord sustained me. In 2013, I gave my life to Jesus Christ, trusting in His finished work on the Cross and receiving the salvation only He offers. Just six months later, I faced another heartbreak—my oldest son was taken home in a car accident at the age of 30. Through every sorrow, God has been my strength, my refuge, and the anchor of my soul. Today, I’m married to a wonderful Christian man, Ray. Together, we enjoy camping and rarely go anywhere without our three small dogs in tow. Life is quieter now, but rich with gratitude. It’s been a journey to get to this place—not easy, not without tears—but truly redeemed by God’s grace. I thank Him for leading me every step of the way, and I walk forward trusting His promise to make the rest of this journey joyful and filled with purpose.
